'Metagama' (1915)
The passenger liner 'Metagama' (1915) underway; a view of the starboard side of the ship from forward of broadside. This is a copy negative made by Bedford Lemere & Co; the original photographer is unknown.
The photograph has been retouched to represent the appearance of the 'Metagama' after 1921. In this year the shipping section of the Canadian Pacific Railway Co was reorganised under the name Canadian Pacific Steamships Ltd and changes were made to the hull and funnel colours. The retouching visible in this image includes the application of a white band to the hull and the removal of the black funnel tops.
