Badge and stars: Order of the Red Eagle, 1st class
Awarded to Adm Sir Robert Stopford. Badge: a gold Maltese cross, enamelled white. Obverse: In the centre on a white ground, a red eagle displayed, crowned or, with the Hohenzollen arms on its breast, holding two green laurel branches. Reverse: Crowned cypher in gold on a white enamel plaque. Worn suspended from a white ribbon with two orange stripes. Star: A silver rayed star of eight points bearing in the centre on a white ground, a gold eagle crowned, enamelled red with the Hohenzollen arms on its breast, holding a green wreath. Surrounding it, a white enamel band with the motto: "SINCERE ET CONSTANTER". Sequin star: Identical but with silver background itstead of white.
