RMS Ivernia (1954); Passenger vessel; Liner
Scale: 1:1200. A waterline model of RMS Ivernia (1954), a liner, made from die-cast metal, with a plastic funnel screwed to the hull. The hull is painted black, the upperworks white, the funnel red with two black horizontal bands and a black top, and the hatches and deck equipment brown. There are eight holes in the deck for derricks (four forward, four aft) and one hole behind the bridge for the mast. The inscription on the underside reads: 'M.709 R.M.S. Ivernia'. The model is stored in its original box. Moulded brown plastic fittings (derricks and mast) attached to a moulding frame accompany the model, and are currently stored separately in a plastic bag.
