Letter from William Ramsey, secretary to the Court of Directors of the Honourable East India Company advising that Lieutenant Robert Meyrick Fowler R.N. is to receive 300 guineas to purchase a piece of plate for recognition of his assistance to Captain Nathaniel Dance during action with a French Squadron while a passenger on his ship, 18 August 1804. Also includes contemporary copy of the same letter.
