Drawing of a turret clock escapement
Harrison’s own manuscript drawing of his design for the escapement of the turret clock at Trinity College, Cambridge, for which he was paid three guineas in 1755. The escapement itself was then made by the London clockmaker William Smith. The clock does not survive (except the setting dial) but four other clocks by Smith are known which still have this escapement.
