Second China War Medal 1857-60

Obverse: Head of Queen Victoria with a diadem, hair tied in a knot (L) Legend: "VICTORIA REGINA". Reverse: At the foot of a palm tree a trophy of flags, cannon, the royal shield, a capstan, etc. Legend: "ARMIS EXPOSCERE PACEM". Exergue: "CHINA". Bars: "TAKU FORTS 1858"; "TAKU FORTS 1860"; "PEKIN 1860". Inscription on edge "W.WHITE. H.M.S. SCOUT". Suspended from a crimson ribbon with yellow edges with a buckle clasp.
