Gridiron and glass vial
Black plastic ‘Accurist’ wrist-watch case containing four pieces of the original H1 gridiron, two brass and two steel. The box also contains a small glass phial with brass particles taken from H1 for analysis in the 1960s. These parts were rescued at the Chronometer Section, Herstmonceux, having been thrown away, and were presented to the NMM in the 1980s.
