Gun crew of P2 6-inch gun

Formal group photograph of the gun crew of P2 6-inch gun, taken on the occasion of their winning a loading competition with HMS Barham (1914). The 'P' 6-inch gun mounts on a Queen Elizabeth class battleship were mounted roughly amidships, one on each side of the shelter deck. The group is assembled on the starboard side of the shelter deck just forward of S2 gun mounting. The gun has been rotated to face aft so that the group can assemble around the breech. Seated on deck in the front row from left to right are Ordinary Seaman Euston, Boy Larner and Ordinary Seaman Tonks. Seated on a bench behind them from left to right are Petty Officer Le Vesconte, Lieutenant H R G Kinahan and Petty Officer Warne. Standing in the last row from left to right are Able Seaman Carty, Ordinary Seaman Brown, Able Seaman Shar RNVR, Able Seaman Butcher, Able Seaman Bailey, Able Seaman Skinner RNR and Boy Parfitt.
