This photograph was taken from the level of the upper deck, probably just adjacent to the foremost 6-inch casemate. Of the three armoured cruisers in the background, the one on the extreme left cannot be identified but may be a member of the Warrior class. Close by it is a ship of the Monmouth class and to the right is a ship of the Devonshire class.
