The ship's badge, painted in colour is placed at the centre of the top edge, the battle honours on a carved wooden ribbon: 'DOGGER BANK, HERMIONE 1799, CHINA 1856-1860, BELGIAN COAST 1917, ATLANTIC 1941-42, NORTH SEA 1942.' The lower part of the board gives: 'THE HISTORY OF SHIP'S NAME', painted in gold letters.
