Watch with silver hunter case. Thirty hour duration, single train, four pillar, gilt brass capped fusee movement with single table roller escapement. Gilt brass balance with blued-steel spring. Boseley regulator engraved 'Slow, Fast'. Escapement jewelled but no jewels to the train. Engraved on barrel bridge with the words 'Willm Anthony London 5057'. The cap is stamped inside with '5057 LXR'. Non-operative stop piece at 4 o'clock. Flat white enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock with Arabic ten second figures. Winding hole with brass collar at 2 o'clock. Gold spade hands with blued-steel seconds. Silver consular hunter case with flat oval shaped pendant and stirrup bow. Silver bezel with glass over dial. Pendant hallmarked 'London 1813-1814'. No other hallmarks. Stamped with incuse makers mark 'CT'? Inner front cover engraved with the words 'A gift of the GOVENORS of CHRIST'S HOSPITAL TO JOHN RENDELL a boy of the ROYAL MATHEMATICAL FOUNDATION for his Diligence and general good Conduct 1814'.
