The cap is stamped inside with '5057 LXR'. Non-operative stop piece at 4 o'clock. Flat white enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock with Arabic ten second figures. Winding hole with brass collar at 2 o'clock. Gold spade hands with blued-steel seconds. Silver consular hunter case with flat oval shaped pendant and stirrup bow. Silver bezel with glass over dial. Pendant hallmarked 'London 1813-1814'. No other hallmarks. Stamped with incuse makers mark 'CT'? Inner front cover engraved with the words 'A gift of the GOVENORS of CHRIST'S HOSPITAL TO JOHN RENDELL a boy of the ROYAL MATHEMATICAL FOUNDATION for his Diligence and general good Conduct 1814'.
