Denarius
A denarius commemorating the victories of Q. Nasidius. Obverse: Within a pearled border, head of Pompey the Great, a trident facing him, a dolphin below. Inscription (vertical) 'NEPTUNI'. Reverse: Starboard view of a galley under sail, a man steering, another standing in the bows; a star above. Legend below: "Q. NASIDIVS". Pompey took the title of Son of Neptune after this victory.
