Goliath (1781)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the second proposal? for the stern decoration, with a written description of the iconography, for a 74-gun ship, possibly the Goliath (1781). The plan has been cut down from a larger plan, as the writing at the top has the last part of 'of 74 Guns'. In faint pencil is 'Goliath 74 guns'.

The taffrail description is
'In the centre is a medallion of His Majesty supported by Neptune & Mars, with proper attributes.
Larboard Quarterpiece [:] The figure of Pallas with proper attributes
Starboard Quarterpiece [:] The figure of Britannia with proper attributes'
