Legend: 'SOUTH AFRICA AND SOUTH AMERICA 1908'. Reverse: Legend, 'CLOSER UNION'. Inscription: '2ND CRUISER SQUADRON GOOD HOPE, DEVONSHIRE, ANTRIM, CARNAVON 1908'. Fitted with a bar and clasps engraved 'DURBAN' and 'PIETERMARITZBURG' and a dark blue ribbon.
