Captivity (1786)
Scale 1:96. Internal profile of the convict ship Captivity ex the Arrogant Class 3rd rate 74 gun warship Bellerophon (1786), drawn circa February 1833 and initialled by William Symonds, Surveyor of the Navy. Showing the layout of cells and crew accommodation. With the following inscriptions:
-'No 2 A copy at 1/16 scale sent to Mr Holford M.P. June 1812'
-'Pembroke Yard 23 Febry 1833 Recd this day' (initalled by J. T. Hawkes, Master Shipwright)
-'The Convict Ship at Pembroke to be fitted by this, and the accompanying drawings of the Coromandel, and the whole of the arrangements attending to, as near as circumstances will admit of. The drawings to be taken care of, and returned to the Surveyor's Office when copied 19th Feb. 1833' (in pencil)
