Unnanmed 10ft three-masted sailing ship
Scale: 1:48. Drawing showing the sheer lines with figurehead, the body plan, the longitudinal half breadth and the stern board for an unnamed 109 1/2 ft three-masted sailing ship. There is no evidence that this is the Neptune, launched at Buckler's Hard.
There is an unprovenanced pencil annotation: "Bucklers Hard / Lines of the Neptune / circa 1800", but the plan is plate 6 of a set published by Thomas Richardson of 26 Dock Street, Hull. The History, Directory & Gazetteer of the County of York for 1823 records a merchant and ship owner called Thomas Richardson living at 26 Dock Street.
