Obverse: Germany holding a crowned shield in her right and a wreath in her left outstretched hand, welcoming the arrival of a battleship (right); sunset in the distance and a quay in the foreground. Below: '1901'. Reverse: In oak spray with inscription above and below it 'ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DIE HEIMKEHR AUS CHINA. GEWIDMET VON DEN BÜRGERN DER STADT WILHELMSHAVEN'. (In memory of the homecoming from China. Presented by the Town Council of Wilhelmshaven.) Fitted with a loop in the form of an oak leaf.
