Medal commemorating Admiral Rheinhold Scheer (1863-1928). Obverse: Short bust of Admiral Scheer (left). Legend: 'ADMIRAL SCHEER DER SIEGER VON SKAGERRAK'. Reverse: A sailor standing astride, holding a wreath across his chest; a battleship in distance below, a large setting sun, rayed in backround. Inscription: '26.11.1928.' Inscribed on edge: 'BAYER HAUPMUNZAMT 98.5.f.' (i.e. the finest gold). N.B. The date given was that of the Admiral's death.
