Presented to Capt Stone of the 'Pegasus', 1000th ship to enter port of Ghent, 1891. In a fitted glass-fronted oval display case with a typed copy of a letter of thanks from Captain Stone. Obverse: Legend, 'CERCLE COMMERCIAL ET INDUSTRIEL GAND'. Inscription: '24 DÉCEMBRE 1891 PEGASUS CAPITAINE STONE 1000E NAVIRE ENTRÉ AU PORT DE GAND PENDANT L'ANNÉE 1891'.
