Turkish Crimea Medal 1855

French type. Obverse: a field gun with a map of the Crimea upon it, a mortar, anchor,etc, and the four flags of the Allies behind. Exergue: "LA CRIMEE 1855". Reverse: The Sultan's cypher and inscription within a laurel wreath tied with a bow. Inscription: "Crimea 1271" (Arabic date). Suspended from a cusped bar and pink ribbon edged with green. Fitted with a brooch pin. Inscribed on edge: "MR Wm WALKER, CHIEF ENGINEER ON BOARD THE OTTOMAN S.S. FEZI BAHRI".
