Reverse: Inscription within a wreath: 'AWARDED TO EDWARD MARKQUICK FOR PUNCTUAL ATTENDANCE EVERY TIME THE SCHOOL WAS OPENED DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR ENDED A.D.1889.' Name incuse. Bar inscription: 'FEBRUARY 1889'. Awarded to Edward Christian Markquick (1878-1944) Stoker Petty Officer RN.
