Obverse: Within a double cable border, a sailor, standing, his left resting on the stock of an upright anchor, his right hand on the truck of a gun. Legend: "ENGLAND EXPECTS THAT EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY". Reverse: Inscription:"PRESENTED BY THE COMMITTEE TO ALFRED JOHN WILKINSON." (Name incuse). "ON HIS RETURN FROM SECOND VOYAGE WITH GOOD CHARACTER". Fitted with red and black striped ribbon. In fitted case of issue by "ROSSI NORWICH". [date of award approx 1877?.
