Miniature entitled 'Rear Admiral Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount 1727-1814'. The miniature is executed in watercolour and gum arabic on ivory. The miniature is mounted together with 26 others, however, the velvet covered mount is light damaged. The oval miniature depicts a man in a jacket, which is only outlined, with grey hair. The face and hair of the sitter are coloured and complete, but the clothing and background are unfinished.
