Storm glass barometer, this storm glass barometer was made in Greenwich by Hudson & Son.
Storm glass or weather glass or camphor glass.
Bracket 14.5" x 3.5" (36.8 cm x 8.9 cm)
Glass tube, brass fittings. Varnished oak bracket with hook and spring clip to take the glass.
Yellowish solution of crystals in an air tight glass phial. Low pressure gives a cloudy mixture, high pressure - crystals lie at the bottom.
