Journal kept by Victor George Hayward on Shackleton’s the "Ross Sea Party" expedition 1915-16. Hayward was part of the Ross Sea Party, on board the Aurora, whose role was to lay supply depots to aid Shackleton’s crossing. The journal ends with an entry for the 6th May 1916, two days before his death.
