Graduated bar scale. A plan showing the profile with details of decoration and figurehead, body with bow decoration, body with sternboard and longitudinal half-breadth of what appears to be an unnamed 50 gun ship (17th Century).
Two vellum sheets have been stuck back to back to create this item. The front is shows the forward half of the ship, while the after half is on the reverse. The graduated bar scales for each half are of different scale measurements.
