Papers of Lieutenant William Collingwood Royal Indian Navy (R.I.N.)

Personal diaries and sketch book of Lieutenant William Collingwood Royal Indian Navy (R.I.N.) surveyor, including photographs and papers concerning the Scott Memorial and Snook's Sword. Most of the diairies are bound in red morocco and include pencil and pen sketches, with some watercolours. They cover Collingwood's career from 1849 to 1857. The Scott Memorial material comprises two photographic blocks and paperwork from the mid 1960's. Also contains a photograph block of Snook's sword.
