Letters to Admiral J B Warren while Ambassador to Russia: Letters from Spiridon Foresti and Mr Eton 1801-1805. Includes letters from Colonel Greig at Porto Ferrajo in Elba, letters from Lord Hawkesbury at the Foreign Office, Robert Lisbon, the British Ambassador at the Hague and Copenhagen, and Foresti and Eton's reports on dealings in the Black Sea area. The majority of the volume is concerned with diplomatic issues regarding the resumption of hostilities, and attempts to bring in Russia into the war as an ally.
