Dumourier's Memoir on the War with America etc 1809; Plans of Places. Contains General Dumourier's memoranda on fighting the British in North America (1800). Also contains intelligence reports on various American states, with remarks on methods of attack which might be successfully employed. There are also copies of letters from the US Naval Secretary to Captain Lawrence of the USS CHESAPEAKE, and communication with Federalist sympathisers with the British. The final section of the volume consists of plans/sketches, particulalry of the Hampton Roads.
