Fremantle, Stephen Grenville, Captain, 1810-1860.
The papers were presented in 1956 by Admiral Sir Sydney Fremantle. They consist of logs, 1828 to 1829, 1839 to 1841; letter and order books, 1839 to 1842, 1852 to 1857, and a private record of letters sent and received, 1847 to 1848. There is also a privately-printed statement in answer to the charges made against him as captain of the JUNO.
