Ironstone china mess soup plate, white, printed in blue with a 'Blackberry Pattern' border. It shows scrolling blackberry briars, flowers, fruit and leaves, edged with rope. China of this pattern was used in Royal Naval Colleges at the begining of the 20th century. Scratched on base 'WR9' (wardroom) and the printed and impressed maker's mark. There are four similar plates in the museum's collections AAA5283-AAA5286.
