Plate
Ironstone china mess soup plate, white, printed in blue with a 'Blackberry Pattern' border. It shows scrolling blackberry briars, flowers, fruit and leaves, edged with rope. China of this pattern was used in Royal Naval Colleges at the begining of the 20th century. The maker's name is printed and impressed on the base with the scratched initials 'WR' (wardroom). There are four similar plates in the museum's collections AAA5283-AAA5286.
