Album of photographs covering Hamilton’s appointment in command of the destroyer HMS WILD SWAN (1919) on the China station, 1927-1928.

The locations include Aden, Chetlat Island, Colombo, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Nicabar Islands, Singapore, Fatshan (Foshan), Canton (Guangzhou), Hong Kong, Wei-Hai-Wei, Amoy (Xiamen), Shanghai, Hankow (Hankou), Wuchang and Chungking (Chongqing). There is a distant view of the memorial to Captain Samuel C. Plant above the Hsin Tan rapids on the Yangtze River. An envelope containing a list of captions is fixed to the inside of the cover.
