Black Prince (1904)
Scale 1:48. A plan showing the upper deck of the Duke of Edinburgh class armoured cruiser Black Prince (1904). The plan has been modified to reflect alterations carried out to the ship between 1909 and 1913. The plan states modifications were made at Chatham Yard in red ink, dated May 1906, green ink, dated April 1908 and burnt sienna ink fated June 1909. The plan also shows modifications made at Gibraltar Yard in red ink dated November 1910. Modifications made at Malta Yard in vermillion ink dated December 1918. A Chatham yard Constructor's Department stamp, dated 4 April 1906, is printed on the plan. A Portsmouth Yard office copy stamp is also present on the plan. The signature of the Admiralty Overseer at Thames Iron Works "J. Logan" dated 23 June 1906, is present on the plan.
