Saucer

White porcelain saucer with a slightly indented edge, as used on HMY 'Victoria and Albert' 1899. It has a broad green border with a heavily gilt interlaced rope pattern and four garter badges. Two of the latter are inscribed 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE' on a blue belt with the royal monogram 'ER VII' in the centre. The other two have 'THE ROYAL YACHT' on the belt and a gold foul anchor in the centre. The maker's mark and the retailers name 'T. GOODE & CO, LONDON' are printed on the base.
