Cup

Soup cup, part of a service made for HMY 'Victoria and Albert' 1899 and used in the wardroom. The cup is made of porcelain with a scroll handle and is painted with blue scrolling foliage decorated with gilding. It has gilt rims and a blue border. A blue garter badge with a king's crown above, on the front is inscribed 'THE ROYAL YACHT'. The maker's name is printed on the base with the painted pattern number 8120p.
