Flooding in Town Pier Square, Gravesend
A 12x10 negative. The entrance to the Town Pier at Gravesend surrounded by flood water during an exceptionally high spring tide on 28 November 1901. Employees of the London, Tilbury & Southend Railway Company and a crowd of bystanders are looking towards the camera. This negative was taken on the same occasion as negative number G514, which shows the flood water around the Three Daws Tavern. The date 28/11/1901 is scratched on the reverse.
