The flag is machine sewn with the design printed onto the fabric. A rope and two aluminium clips are attached to hoist the flag. Written in biro on the hoist 'ØST TYSKELAND'.
The flag has three black, red and yellow horizontal stripes. In the centre is a yellow wreath of wheat, within which is a device of a hammer and compasses.
