The life raft from 'Elingamite' (1887) on the upper deck of HMS 'Penguin' (1876)
A view of the portside of the upper deck looking towards the forecastle, taken from the ladder leading to the quarterdeck, on the composite screw sloop 'Penguin' (1876) at anchor in Auckland. The life raft from the 'Elignamite' (1887) has been prepared for hoisting. The boat boom has been deployed and a sailor is walking along it.
