Royal Naval Warships and Training Brigs of late nineteenth century

A green cloth bound album with the binding broken spine and with loose covers and leaves, containing 48 prints pasted in to the album, one per page and one loose print. The majority of the prints measure approximately 106mm x 115mm. The prints are generally in poor condition but have identifying captions. The album consists almost entirely of ship portraits, including: Bellerophon (1865), Blake (1889), Boscawen (1841), Charybdis (1893), Colossus (1882), Curacoa (1878), Devastation (1871), Empress of India (1891), Ganges (1821), Grampus (1784/1810), Halcyon (1894), Hermione (1893), Implacable (1800), Inflexible (1876), Invincible (1869), Lion (1847), Magnificent (1894), Majestic (1895), Melampus (1890), Minotaur (1863), Naiad (1890), Nautilus (1879), Northumberland (1866), Phaeton (1883), Pitt (1820), Repulse (1892), Resolution (1892), Royal Sovereign (1891), Saint Vincent (1815), Seaflower (1873), Shannon (1875), Speedy (1893), Temeraire (1871), Victory (1765) (afloat, one port quarter, one dead ahead, and one on the quarter deck). The ships are all afloat in open water.
