Scabbard
Scabbard for curved bladed dirk. The black leather scabbard has two gilt brass lockets. It is not certain whether a chape was originally fitted. Both lockets have a ring at the back edge and both are decorated with engraved sprays of acanthus and a ribbon of formalised laurel. The reverse of the top locket bears, on an engraved panel the words 'W. George Plymth Dock'.
