Album compiled by Captain A. C. Woods (died 1912)

A blue/gold cloth covered album which has a broken spine and loose covers, and contains 55 photographs glued in.
The album includes the following vessels: HMS Thunderer (1872) in 1895, HMS Acorn (1884) in 1887, HMS President (1829).
Also included are photographs of Japan topographical, Montevideo, S/Lt. A. C. Woods RN, and the funeral of W. E. Gladstone in 1878 and Queen Victoria in 1901.
A number of photographs of Port Hamilton and Port Larzaref in Korea as well as Korea topographical, appear in Manuscript Section's Port Hamilton album. They were therefore probably taken circa 1885 as Lt Woods was aboard HMS Cleopata in 1883-7, which was on the China Station and, in fact, a Cleopatra grave appears in one of the photographs.
