The Navigator H.M.S Benbow Meditteranean 1890

Framed and glazed pencil cariacature of Captain Towers as navigator of H.M.S Benbow in 1890 on pink paper. He is shown seated at a table with navigational instruments. A note on the back of the print states that it was originally lent by a Mrs Ursula Watts in December 1966 but that she put it in her will as a bequest, dated 1968 - the note apprears to be written by solicitors Latham, New and Smyth. A piece of flower decoration is missing from the bottom right corner of the frame.
