This is a bound photograph album with a loose spine. There are green, gold-blocked boards with "Lieut. F. W. B. Jones. R.N." embossed on the front. There are 198 photographs pasted in and 7 loose photographs.
Frederick W. Bayly Jones became a Cdr. on 1/10/73 and reitred in 1874.
The album includes family portraits and also photographs of the following vessels (particularly of officers):
HMS Revenge (1859), Bayly Jones was a Sub Lt. in 1862
HMS Cossack (1854), Bayly Jones was a Lt. in 1864
HMS Warrior (1861), Bayly Jones was a Lt. in circa 1868
HMS Excellent (1810), Bayly Jones was a Lt. in circa 1870
