Crystal paperweight for event celebrating 250 years of Lloyd's Register of Shipping. Held within presentation box and bag. Glass paperweight with a transparent figure group in the centre after the bronze and marble sculpture 1901 by Frank Lynn Jenkins (1870-1927). The weight is titled: ‘The Spirit of Maritime Commerce’. Commerce is shown as a winged female figure holding a caduceus terminating in a trident. She is seated in a boat with a lion figurehead accompanied by two sea nymphs. The paperweight in a padded box inscribed ‘Lloyd's Register 250 YEARS OF SERVICE’
