Reval (Tallinn) circa. 1915
A bound photograph album with a very weak spine, and boards badly affected by the damp. There are 38 leaves.
This album contains 17 large architectural views of Tallinn (known as Reval until 1918), the capital of Estonia. The other 74 view are of the Russo-Baltic Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd., the Peter Werf Shipbuilding Co (one photograph) as well as shipyard scenes, vessel building and interiors of workshops. Vickers had a half interest in Beardmore of Glasgow who had joined with Schneider for a shipyard and arsenal in Reval. It is possible Vickers acquired the album through this connection.
