River Thames, London Bridge to Tower Bridge sounded by the survey staff of the Port of London Authority 1943

Single sheet. Coloured lithograph. Scale circa 1:1,056. The scale is in feet and the soundings are in feet and inches. The land features are based on Ordnance Survey mapping. Magnetic variation is shown. Wharves and some ships are named and a proposed jetty and the tower pier are marked in red. There are notes on tides, chart datum, moorings, dredging, the headway of bridges and bridge lights. A warning states: 'Since the completion of this survey aerial bombardment may have caused damage and altered the depth of water shown'.
