A white, ironstone china plate, transfer-printed with a coloured picture of a bear riding a bicycle and inscribed 'ELDER DEMPSTER LINES CHILDREN'S SERVICE'. Elder Dempster Lines ran services to West Africa and the Canaries from 1881.
