A crew member dressed as ’Father Christmas’ comes down the grille in front of the forward funnel on Christmas Day. A passenger on board the 'Chusan' in 1955 recalled how, at Christmas, every passenger received a card with their breakfast menu. Typically, the Christmas spread might include a boar’s head, suckling pigs, a large ham, turkey and Christmas cake.
