Description of a storm in the Bay of Scanderoon, circa 1820.

Small sheet with a written description of a storm experienced in the Bay of Scanderoon (now Gulf of Iskenderun) in the Mediterranean. The darkness was followed by a vivid sunset and rainbow, as shown in a sketch on the reverse. The author and date are unknown, but this item may have been among the papers of Admiral Sir Frederick Thomas Michell (1788-1873).
